How Can Counselling Help You?
Do you feel that you're not living the way you want to? Perhaps you're feeling stuck and need to find a different way forward?
Counselling can help you gain awareness and insight around repeated patterns in your life causing conflict within you or with others.
If you're feeling that life is a struggle or you're not reaching your full potential, I can help as a professionally trained counsellor.
I bring warmth and sensitivity to my counselling. I offer a safe and confidential place for you to explore and understand difficult feelings, thoughts and personal circumstances. My aim is to always listen with care and respect.
I help clients to uncover aspects of themselves that are in conflict with each other. Together we look at the internal blocks that hold you back from living life to the full.
My approach is around enabling you to explore the past, present and future:
I work from Westerham in Kent, near Oxted and Sevenoaks.
I also provide appointments online and by phone.
Frequently Asked Questions
People who come for counselling are ordinary people who are experiencing life as being painful. This may be due to problems in a relationship, self-esteem and confidence issues, work-related stress, the loss of a loved one, anxiety or perhaps a general sense of unhappiness.
Talking to a trained counsellor is a way to understand yourself and your life more fully and, through this, to start taking responsibility for making different choices for yourself.
I offer both short-term and long-term work. The number of sessions will depend on the reasons why you are seeking counselling. Some people come to counselling with very specific issues whilst others come with a more general sense of unease and dissatisfaction.
I charge £60 per session. All sessions last 50 minutes and take place on a regular day and time each week.
Counselling is a place of safety and trust. Counselling is confidential and I will discuss this with you at the outset so there is clarity around any exceptions to how I work.
In line with best counselling practice, I take aspects of my work to a supervisor in order to have another professional perspective. Your anonymity is respected throughout this process.
I work on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
